Hi,
I'm Jean Charles, your JustRight Coach. Thank you for your interest
in getting to know me.
I came to the profession
of coaching by way of a twenty year career in another helping profession,
as a practitioner, administrator, and business owner. The most important
discovery I made during that time was that each person I worked with as
a client, employee or peer was unique and needed to be treated as such.
When I discovered coaching five years ago, I realized that I had been coaching
people all along. I was guiding, supporting, and partnering with
people to become all they were meant to be. I was helping them to discover
and utilize their resources to build business and personal lives that worked
just right for them.
As a business partner, I
was the one who grounded the big visions of my entrepreneur partner.
I was the one who was able to put the structure around and the foundation
under his "castles in the air" so they became real and the businesses thrived.
Over the course of my career, my partner (who also became my husband) and
I have owned and operated six small businesses. The largest of which
was a successful multi-clinic physical rehabilitation company that was
acquired in October 2000 by a national medical company for many times earnings.
Two years prior to the acquisition,
coaching found me and I knew that I was ready to officially become a coach.
So during the acquisition process, I enrolled in CoachU and coached our
managers and employees to prepare them for the transition. I also
began coaching other small business owners and professionals, to design
and build business and personal lives that work for them. I am now successfully
continuing with my coaching practice, writing for newspapers, managing
three small businesses, and living my just right life. I am living
proof that when you find what is right for you, both professionally and
personally, life is great. I am committed to sharing what I have
learned with others so they may also live fulfilling lives.

My Personal background
(the short version):
I grew up in New York City
and gradually moved across the state of New Jersey going from city kid
to suburbanite to farmer. I now live at Misty Meadow Farm in the northwestern
part of this 'Garden State', with my husband and teen-age son. We
raise Polled Hereford Cattle, have two horses, a few dozen
chickens and grow hay and corn. We also spend several weeks/year
at our oceanfront home on the Outerbanks of North Carolina (another of
our businesses - we rent it out during the season). In my spare time
I like to garden, hike in the woods, beachcomb, read, and practice yoga. |
